| First Nations eHealth Strategy Development - Tripartite Committee for First Nations eHealth | Reporting to the Tripartite Steering Committee for First Nations eHealth, leading a two-phased project to develop the initial First Nations eHealth Strategy Plan, which will be aligned with but separate from the overall Provincial IM/IT strategy. This project requires considerable consultation with First Nations and other tripartite partners to identify the current state of First Nations eHealth in BC, identify the desired future state, analyse the gaps and develop a tactical plan to implement the overall eHealth Strategy. |
| Business Intelligence System - Justice Services Branch | Maintenance Enforcement and Locate Services Division and Family Justice Services Division partnered on the design and development of a business intelligence (BI) system to support information workers and executives to collect, analyze, report and improve family justice programs and services delivered throughout British Columbia. The BI system connects several line of business applications using SQL Server 2008 R2, and provides a range of analytical and dashboard capabilities using Microsoft SharePoint 2010. Queenswood was retained to develop the business requirements for the system in consultation with staff and management, and manage the procurement, delivery and implementation phases of the project. |
| eHealth Project Management of First Nations Telehealth Expansion Project - BC Ministry of Health | First Nations Telehealth is the flagship First Nations eHealth initiative. Co‐funded by Canada Health Infoway and Tripartite partners, the Project will roll out “clinical encounters” solutions to 51 communities in response to calls in the Tripartite First Nations Health Plan to create an “integrated clinical telehealth network”. Queenwood’s project management support included: 1) re-designing the Project to reflect feasibility, internal and external dependencies, and best risk mitigation; 2) developing revised Project materials (scope and milestone objectives, master plan, and budget and costs model); 3) developing key communications to stakeholders on status and financial reporting; and 4) developing key deliverables on overall design, service development, operational management, and capacity building. |
| Expansion of Child Support Recalculation Service - Justice Services Branch | Queenswood served as project manager for an initiative to evaluate the feasibility of expanding the Recalculation Services pilot project (operating in the Kelowna courthouse district) to the whole of British Columbia. Working with an team that included Maintenance Enforcement staff and the staff of the agency that operates maintenance (THEMIS), Queenswood ensured that a range of expansion options were identified and analyzed, and was also responsible for determining options for the required expansion to supporting IT systems. |
| Justice Tracking System - Family Justice Services Division | Family Justices Services Division (FJSD) delivers justice programs and services across British Columbia and develops, and through the Justice Access Centres (JAC) that assist families with civil law issues such as separation, divorce or custody matters, income security, housing or debt. Queenswood was retained to support FJSDB to upgrade and implement its Justice Tracking System (JTS) to enable staff to better manage the intake and referral of clients accessing services through the JAC. Specifically, Queenswood identified the business requirements for updating JTS, and oversaw the development, testing and implementation of the system at the Vancouver JAC. |
| Tripartite FN eHealth Strategic Plan and Facilitation - First Nations Health Society | The Tripartite First Nations eHealth Strategic Plan responds to calls from the Tripartite First Nations Health Plan to strategize how First Nations can be further empowered with innovative health information technologies to achieve wellness in their communities. Queenswood Consulting Group led the development of the first Tripartite First Nations eHealth Strategic Plan. We facilitated consultations with First Nations health leadership organization and Tripartite advisory councils on the strategy’s framework, on community engagement on eHealth priorities, and on bridging the assessed gaps between the current state and future vision for First Nations eHealth. |

| Skills Connect for Immigrants Program Review | The Ministry of Economic Development’s Labour Market Development Branch, sponsors a program known as Skills Connect for Immigrants Program, whose primary goal is to assist new immigrants secure jobs that fully use their pre-arrival skills, knowledge and experience. QCG conducted a review of the program, focusing on improving the programming and services available to assist lower skilled immigrants integrate into BC’s labour market. The review included consultation with service providers and resulted a final report that included a description of current services and model for delivery, analysis of the labour market integration needs of lower skilled immigrants, and recommendations for expanding current programming / designing new programming to meet identified service delivery gaps. |
| System Redesign - Family Search | Provided project management oversight for the development, testing and implementation of the new Family Search Application. Tasks included liaison with vendors, ministry information technology (ITSD) and key data providers to resolve complex issues including risk management including access and management of confidential and legal data. |
| Redesign of BC Family Search Program – Ministry of Attorney General | Maintenance Enforcement and Locate Services (MELS) exists to ensure that BC families receive the financial support they are entitled to, in accordance with the Family Maintenance Enforcement Act and the Family Relations Act. MELS processes more than 25,000 search requests relating to enforcement of child support for BC families. Queenswood was retained to serve as project manager for the development and implementation of a new search system, FAMS2. This system is based on an emerging service oriented architecture (SOA) standard that supports business processes delivered via open standards such as XML and web services. Project management responsibilities included coordinating the work required for key project phases: development and technical testing; user acceptance testing; development and integration of system interface to data provider systems; and integration of data provider interfaces. |
